ABOUT
Curiosity. Explore. Question. Experiment. These are just a few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at The Rutland Nanny. I provide a home from home setting that provides high quality care and educational opportunities with a focus on emotional well-being as I view this as a vital part of young children's development.
All activities are designed to adequately nurture the emotional and intellectual growth of the children in my care. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, young children are free to develop into bright young minds.

I am also an accredited Hygge in the Early Years Setting.

THE RUTLAND NANNY
Caring & Dedicated

CAITLIN STEWARD
I am highly motivated to ensure every child gets the care and support to develop holistically during early childhood. My Level 3 BTEC in Children's Play, Learning and Development gave me a broad foundation of knowledge and practical experience. I had a thirst to expand my learning and understanding in this area and I gained a First Class BA in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Derby in July 2019. Completing my Masters in Childhood in July 2020 gave me an in-depth understanding of contemporary issues and global childhood topics. I am continually striving to expand my knowledge and skills to offer an outstanding standard of care and a high quality service.

DAY IN THE LIFE
Every day looks different with The Rutland Nanny
8:00 AM- 9:30 AM
Drop offs/Collection - children tend to have breakfast if that is required and have some time to play freely
9:30Â AM- 12:00 PM
We tend to do an activity in the morning whether that be soft play, the local farm parks, the playgrounds, Rutland Water, the woods or visiting the local market.
12:00 PM- 1:00 PM
We have lunch during this time depending on what we are doing that day it could be a picnic lunch, a cafe lunch or an at home lunch.
1:00 PM- 4:00PM
Depending on the children's needs that are in attendance some children will have a nap at this point of the day whilst others explore the resources and activities within the setting including the garden.
4:00 PM - 5:00PM
We would have a snack and then go for a walk to explore the local area and visit the playground or sometimes help to cook dinner.
5:00 PM- 6:00 PM
We would all sit down and have dinner together before getting ready to go home.

HEALTHY EATING AND NUTRITION
My aim is to provide healthy and nutritious meals whilst also providing for the dietary requirements of all the children in my care.Â
I also think it is important for children to have experience with cooking and participating in the preparation of their own food. Children are also encouraged to plant and look after herbs and vegetables in the garden. Within the setting I feel it is important to celebrate cultures and holidays - one of the ways we do this is through food and meal times.
I have a certificate in food hygiene that gets updated regularly to ensure best practice.
